A picture may be worth a thousand words, but in most cases it pales in comparison to the intensity of the actual image. For some photographers, capturing the full range of light and luminosity perceived by the human eye on film is not only a challenge—it’s a point of inspiration.
Using a technique called “high dynamic range imaging,” or HDR, these photographs are capable of revealing a landscape as you’ve never seen it before.
